TOPS Award for Excellence in Retailing

Holualoa-Kona, HI-Kona Blue Sky Coffee, recognized worldwide for the rich, high-quality coffee it produces exclusively on the Twigg-Smith Estate in Holualoa-Kona, Hawaii, has been honored with the Specialty Coffee Association of America's prestigious TOPS Award for excellence in retailing. Only 48 specialty coffee retailers achieved this distinction in 2000.

The TOPS Award is presented each year to retailers who consistently exhibit excellence in specialty coffee retailing by investing in the education of themselves and their employees, informing customers about coffee-growing issues, and promoting specialty coffees in their specific markets.

The coffee trees flourish in the rich volcanic soil, bright sunny mornings and misty afternoons. These conditions are perfect for producing large, dense, flavorful coffee beans.
